Simply create barcodes with the ActiveBarcode Generator

ActiveBarcode: copy and paste barcodes into every applicationThe ActiveBarcode Generator is the stand alone application to print barcodes or create bitmaps and vector graphics of barcodes. The operation is almost self explanatory and so easy that you create barcodes in the blink of an eye.

Simply specify the desired text to be encoded and the barcode type to create a barcode instantly. You can transfer this barcode via the Windows Clipboard directly into your document or save it for later use as an image file.

In addition, the software offers more functionality around barcodes, such as the precisely positioned printing of barcodes, the creation of labels and a series of image files, if you need many barcodes.

When do I use it? When to choose the barcode object over the generator

The ActiveBarcode Generator is part of the ActiveBarcode software package and is used to make the barcode technology available in documents/applications that do not support the ActiveX technology. You use this application instead of the control in cases where you can't or won't use the control.

ActiveBarcode offers two ways to add barcodes to your document, but what is the best way?
  • If you want to automate the barcode in your document, you select the barcode object.
  • If you want to place a static barcode into your document, it's best to choose the barcode generator. This is also the preferred strategy if you plan to hand out your documents to others that don't have ActiveBarcode installed.
  • If you are using a software that does not support ActiveX technolgy, you need to choose the barcode generator.
