What licence do I need...?

Standard or Enterprise Edition?

ActiveBarcode is available as standard edition (1 user license) and as Enterprise edition (several user's licenses, a developer license and a web license).

Enterprise You need the Enterprise Edition, if you:
  • need several user's licenses for one location of your company.
  • need a developer license, e.g., for the development of applications (e.g., with Visual BASIC, C++, Delphi, etc.) and databases (e.g., with Access).
  • need a web license.

Enterprise Gold You need the Enterprise GOLD Edition, if you in addition to Enterprise edition need:
  • several developer licenses for one location of your company, e.g. for development teams.
  • several web licenses for one location of your company, e.g. for a server farm.

Standard The Standard Edition fits for you, if you:
  • only need the ActiveBarcode Application
  • only need one user's license for the control. I.e. you may install and use ActiveBarcode on one computer. It would be pointed out here again to the fact, that you can NOT use the ActiveBarcode Control in all Access versions with an user's license. For Access you may need a developer license. See below for further information.
  • need no developer license. Then you cannot develop applications (e.g., with Visual BASIC, C ++, Delphi, etc.) and databases (e.g., with Access).
  • need no web license.

Which license do I need if I want to integrate the Control into my documents?

General you need a User licence if you want to work with the control on one local system/workplace. You can embed and use the control in documents. You need one user licence for each system you want to use the control on.

The developer licence is used to create distributable applications or databases. A database or application created with the developer licence will work on other system withour an additional developer or user licence.

But in real it's different: Some standard software interprets the licence model another way. We have tested several standard software and here are our results:
