How to add a barcode into a WordPro document

A short description of how to add a barcode to your WordPro document. First launch WordPro and create a new document or open an already existing one. Now go to the menu "Create" and select the "Object..." function:

A dialog that shows all the objects installed to your system will appear. First select the option "Object" or "Control".

Choose "ActiveBarcode" from the "object type list" and click Ok. Now a barcode object will be embedded into your document This will be a standard barcode of EAN-128 type. This is the default type. You can change this to any barcode type supported by ActiveBarcode: Codabar, Code 25 Industrial, Code 25 Interleaved, Code 39, Code 39 Extended, Code 93, Code 93 Extended, Code 128, Data Matrix, DUN-14, EAN-2, EAN-5, EAN-8, EAN-13, EAN-14, EAN-18, EAN-99, EAN 128, EAN-Velocity, Identcode, ISBN-10, ISBN-13, ISBN-13 Dual, Bookland, ISSN, ISMN, ITF-14, JAN, Leitcode, MSI, NVE, PDF417, PostNet, PZN, Royal Mail SCC-14, SSCC-18, UCC-128, UPC-A and UPC-E

But this is not necessary now as we are using EAN-128 type in this example.

To modify the barcode you have to switch into Design Mode. To do go to the "View" menu and have a look for the option named "Design OLE Controls". This one must be checked:

If this option "Design OLE Controls" is not checked, select it now.

Now go back to your document by once clicking the current page. Next you activate the ActiveBarcode control. Simply click the control once. Now you can change the barcodes size, type, colors, position etc. You'll now find a new menu item named "ActiveBarcode":

Select it and then choose the function "Properties". The property dialog of ActiveBarcode will open. There you can change the properties of the barcode control.
