Image file in exact size

Here we show you how easy it is, to create a barcode as an image file in desired size and resolution.

Launch the ActiveBarcode Application. Call it from the start menu of Windows.

Now select the desired size and resolution of the barcode to be created. Select the function "Layout and size" from the menu "Barcode". The following dialog appears:

Go to the "Size of barcode" section and select the the option "Fixed custom size".

Now you set the dimensional information to "mm".

Enter the desired size of the barcode into the edit fields. You specify the size in millimeter.

Select the resolution of the image file to be created. You give the resolution in dpi (dots per inch).

Finally you click on OK. Now the size and resolution are set.

Create the barcode according to your needs.

To save the barcode as an image file you use the function "Export image file" from the menu "File". Select a filename and the file format here.

Tip: Select either BMP, PNG, TIF or JPEG as file format. Only these formats support saving the DPI information.
